The chairman of the OSS Alliance.

1981, Filip Molčan studied at the Faculty of Nuclear and Physical Engineering of the Czech Technical University in Prague. He became a member of the Czech development team OpenOffice.org, and also cooperates with the czilla project; in 2004 he became a member of the Professional Group of the Czech Ministry of Informatics IDABC. He concentrates in particular on the problems of Open Source solutions in public administration and education. He has written dozens of articles on OSS/FS or about the systems of Linux, MacOS, IBM OS/2.

OSS Alliance is an association of professionals from the academic sphere, representatives of public administration, members of Open Source projects and other experts, the aim of which is support and research in the sphere of the use of Open Source solutions, especially in public administration and education, support of the Open Source projects themselves and cooperation with similar projects and organisations both in the Czech Republic and within the framework of the EU.

The non-profit organisation OSS Alliance has acquired the official patronage of the Ministry of Informatics of the Czech Republic for the entire project.
