Alberto Barrionuevo is the coordinator of the Foundation for a Free Information Infrastructure in Spain. A non-profit association dedicated to the spread of data processing literacy and the prompotion of the open and free standards. Best known for its campaign against software patents, like this one, which resulted in the European Parliament's rejection of the directive on "computer-implemented inventions" by 648 votes to 14 in July 2005.
