Sigrid, 34, has extensive experience in leadership of various volunteer organizations, including a 4-year tenure as Vice President and 4 years as President of a Rural Youth organization. They worked as a lobbying organization to represent local farmers at the state level. At the municipal level, they provide regular youth activities including trips, panel discussions, and seminars.

Sigrid has also spent several years working with various youth organizations and the local music group. She has also been a member of the workers' council of the company she's worked for.

Sigrid's contact with the OpenDocument Fellowship comes through her involvement in OpenOffice.org. Sigrid is a member of the German Native-Lang project, where she works as a translator. She is also an active member of OOoAuthors, where she contributes to the English User Guides as a reviewer and the German User Guides as a translator.

Sigrid is studying Microsystems Technology at the University of Applied Sciences in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
